We spent 3 days in the heart of Bahia! We arrived at lunch time and we had an delicious and traditional at Caranguejo do Farol! You must try it out! Later we enjoyed the sunset walking by the boulevard by the Light House or Farol da Barra, the first light house of Brazil. Well, was in Bahia that Brazil started, the Portuguese discovered Brazil... (you can check about this on wikipedia ;) ). During the sunset we headed to the JAM at MAM (Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia). Every Saturday happens an fantastic Jazz Jam at the Museum. Jazz at the sunset, was the perfect combination! After getting drunk from amazing music we had a dinner at Bahia Marina on the Lafayette Restaurant, it was a bit pricey but was worth for our first day in Salvador!

Our second day was super cultural! We passed by the most famous areas and places from Salvador. It was great to see how many history a place can tell only looking by the architecture, religions, neighborhoods... the history is everywhere! We passed by Bonfim's Church by cab from our hotel, and cab from there to Modelo Market, from this famous Market we did all walking! And wow, what a walk hahaha we walked a lot, so make sure to go on comfortable shoes. After Modelo Market we went up the old city using the famous Lacerda's Elevator. Bam! We were at Pelourinho, it's so beautiful over there! So much history! We walked around finding beautiful things, houses, smiles... We visited the Saint Francisco's Church full of GOLD! We also went to Olodum's Museum, and a presentation of the group called Filhos de Ghandi. The food over there was delicious, we ate até a local restaurant. And to finish our cultural walking day we saw an group of tradicional drums on the streets of Pelourinho. Beautiful!

The third and last day in Salvador was reserved to discover the beautiful island from the Bay of all Saints (Baía de Todos os Santos). We booked a tour by boat and we had so much FUN! The schooner ride was full of energy with a group of musicians and lots of caipirinhas! We had so much fun on this trip! Later we landed at the first island, so beautiful and untouched! Only 60 families living there making even more special! We walked by the forests, and later relaxed by the beach, Paradise! This island is Ilha dos Frades.

After Ilha do Frades we headed to another destination, Itaparica's island also fantastic! It was where we had lunch and relaxed by the beach! When we were back in town we went to have a dinner at a great restaurant Casa da Mãe listening to some more jazz!
